Nick Meyer is CEO of Sierra/Affinity, a production, finance and international sales company which he founded in June 2009. As CEO, Meyer oversees the company’s own productions, as well as a robust practice representing sales of third-party productions at all budget levels with some of the biggest filmmakers and talent in the industry. Sierra’s recent productions include the Focus/Universal release ATOMIC BLONDE starring Charlize Theron, and the upcoming Netflix action-thriller HOW IT ENDS. The company has most recently completed sales of the worldwide rights outside of North America for the Awards contender SPOTLIGHT; I, TONYA; and MOLLY’S GAME, as well as MANCHESTER BY THE SEA; NIGHTCRAWLER; WHIPLASH; FLIGHT; THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, DRIVE; and THE CALL, among many others. An industry veteran with over two decades of experience, Meyer served as President of Paramount Vantage through December of 2008, and joined Paramount in 2006 as Co-President of Vantage where he oversaw the releases of the Academy Award®-recognized films BABEL, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, and THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Previously, Meyer served as President of International for Lionsgate. While at Lionsgate, Meyer was directly involved in the co-production of the Academy® winner HOTEL RWANDA, the launch of the SAW franchise and the corporate acquisition of Redbus, now Lionsgate UK. Meyer is an AMPAS member, sits on the board of Sinai Akiba Academy, and serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA). He holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MA from Middlebury College, speaks five languages, and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
